The other 2×72″ belt grinder I made four years back has been the most used tool in my workshop ever since. So I decided to make a bigger one that can run belts up to 160″ and features swappable arms for different wheels and attachments. The only parts I bought new for this build are the 12″ contact wheel, pedal switch and concrete, all steel found at the scrap yard. Of course I also order custom sized belts (50×3500) in variuos grits, the 320grit one you see at the end I glued myself with ca and cloth and ended up breaking within the first 5min of use.
