Making a coing ring out a 1951 british halfpenny copper coin.
I’ve already made a bunch of these in the past, today I’m showing you how my method has changed with more advanced tools to make better rings and most importantly much more efficiently!
Copper is very easy to work with, it’s soft and malleable so there is no need to annheal many times during the process. It also looks very cool in my opinion, but it has some downsides to it like the fact that it oxidize quite fast and, to some people, leave a green mark if worn for long period of time. Both problems can be solved by sealing the ring with something like spray laquer, nail polish or even better clear powder coating.
