Replacing plastic handle with aluminum cast ones.
Two parts pattern made in Fusion360and printed in PLA at 0.3mm layer height with alignment pins modeled in.
Drafts in gates should have been more pronounced because the mold broke a bit around them while removing the pattern. A riser closer to the widest part of the handle would have been better too because the aluminum left a slight depression there while cooling and therefore shrinking.
I use ferric chloride to smooth the aluminum and give it that grippy patina that I like.
